Palm Springs Faire, March 25, 2000

Here are the pictures I took down at Palm Springs Faire this year.  Tamika and I had a great time, as you will see.  One of the great things about Palm Springs is that it is one of the very first faires of the season for many in Southern California.  It's a time when we get together with many of the faire folk we haven't seen through the winter off season.

I'm jumping straight to the fun stuff here.  As if there'd be any serious stuff on this page...

As you can see from the first few pictures, the women were pampered quite a bit at this faire.  I think the guys have been saving up new lines all winter!

Now here's a wench that didn't need any saving.  She went up that wall two or three times.  Of course, it took her 15 minutes to get into that harnass.

We had one of the two bird shows here.  As far as I've seen, there are only two people who have trained parrot acts at California faires.  In all honesty, I was surprised there were two.  For years, I only saw the one.  I got a chance to get some close pictures of the birds between shows.

Here are several pictures I took of Brady's booth, The Age of Chilvary.  I also took a number of pics here of some of his handi-work.  The Irish gentleman is sporting a sword designed and exclusively sold by AOC.  Brady has some of the nicest weapons and armor available.  It's a great thing to hear he's starting to design his own stuff now as well.

I promised the raw, uncut versions of these shots for Brady's use.  Brady, you can find the raw cut for these pics HERE.

Bet ya never saw faire folk boogie-ing down in the middle of a faire before.

There is always at least one person who shows up to faire and you say to yourself (amongst many other things I won't repeat here) "Damn...that person belongs at faire if she just had the right costume!"  This lady definately would look great in faire garb.  Of course, as was pointed out by some random guy just about every time she walked past, she looked just fine the way she was too.

And here is my finest hour as a photographer.  Shots like this are the reason I got a digital camera...so I wouldn't waste film.  This one I shot off on accident, while grabbing my camera.  I was actually so amazed at how well it turned out, for being a mistake, that I kept it here.
